April 1, 2010: Feed congress highlights global issues
CANCUN, MEXICO — When leaders of the world’s feed industries come together in Mexico in April, their meeting will shape the agenda on the future of feed for the next decades.
The III Global Feed & Food Congress opens on April 20, 2010, in Cancun, Mexico. Hosted by the Mexican Feed Manufacturers Association, CONAFAB, it is being organized by the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) with technical assistance from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
“This congress has emerged as a major platform for the discussion of the most important issues facing the feed business internationally, “says IFIF secretary-general Roger Gilbert.
“It will address barriers to trade, the role of livestock production in human and animal health and also the critical questions of product safety and food security.
“These are of vital concern everywhere and we have invited experts from all parts of the world to lead the discussion. Over the course of the congress our delegates will hear from about 60 keynote speakers, in a global forum where many of the top figures in world feed production will also be present.”
Full dates for the III Global Feed & Food Congress in Cancun, Mexico (see http://www.globalfeed-food.com) are April 20-23, 2010.
