IV. Global Feed & Food Congress

The 4th Global Feed and Food Congress is organized by the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) with technical assistance of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and is hosted by the Animal Feed Manufacturers Association of South Africa (AFMA) at the Sun City Conference Centre.  The Congress is expected to bring together over 700 international delegates and is the leading global platform to discuss critical global feed and food issues.

The theme for the 4th GFFC ‘Safe Feed & Food for All' links to our global challenge to feed 9 billion people by 2050 and to do so sustainably. Participants and speakers at the GFFC will address this vital question as part of discussions that will cover the whole feed manufacturing and food processing value chain, with a special focus on Feed and Food Safety, Security and Sustainability.

The Global Feed and Food Congress was launched in 2005 by IFIF in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to provide a global platform for industry and governments to come together to discuss critical issues of food and feed safety, technology and sustainability.  The tri-annual Congress has established itself as the leading global event of its kind and was last held in Cancun, Mexico, in 2010.
