What's in it for Me?

Joining IFIF will put you and your organisation in the front line; you will not only learn what the issues are that face the feed industry, but will be expected to make a considered contribution in developing an industry response toward them.

We believe there are five good reasons why any company or organisation working in the feed sector anywhere, should join IFIF. There may be others and some which may be more applicable to you particularly, however, in general by joining IFIF you will be:

  • Making a contribution to the decision-making process within IFIF that produces industry's global feed policy and forms industry opinion on various feed-related issues
  • Identifying resources that will help enlarge the feed industry both within developing and underdeveloped countries in line with key global objective of safe feed and food for all
  • Adopting the principles of the Codex Alimentarius Code of Good Animal Feeding Practice - our industry's first global code - which aims to make the feed industry playing field more level
  • Helping industry drive out bad practice and the avoidance of future feed-related crises that in the past have severely damaged our industry
  • Stimulating the feed industry into more and better training for industry workers and a raise in our the knowledge bases and the skills of those working within the feed industry

What's in it for you?
Let's not be shy. We expect you to put in more than you take out - and we're not referring to your membership fee. We will expect you to make a net contribution in terms of time and effort. However, there are some considerable benefits. They include:
  • The knowledge that you are helping our industry - through your business acumen - to meet the challenge for safe feed-safe food at affordable prices everywhere
  • Gathering industry- and sector-related information that may help determine the future development of your business * Working with global groups will help your staff grasp the changes that are rapidly occurring in our feed sector
  • Demonstrate to a wider audience how import our business is in terms of feeding a growing world population through sustainable, economic production of compound feedingstuffs
