IFIF activities

Under its statutes the IFIF is obligated to develop activities on a national, regional and worldwide scale. It must assist in the dissemination of information and encourage the development of compound feed manufacturing.

IFIF is already achieving many of its key goals; for example, it has been actively involved with feed manufacturing conferences in Central Europe, Russia, Asia, Latin America, the United States and South Africa. It has given help and advice to the feed industry in Russia, the Ukraine and Romania and Czech Republic. It regularly participates in regional and national feed industry meetings, exhibitions and conferences and actively promotes feed industry events. It is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) to WHO/FAO's Codex Alimentarius and plays a full role in the development of global feeding standards through the Codex Task Force on Feed IFIF supplies its members with a monthly ‘Conference Paper Service', selecting the most important papers from key feed industry-related meetings.

Every month, the IFIF secretariat mails three or four key conference papers to its members; an unparalleled service which ensures valuable information is disseminated in a timely fashion and at minimal cost. Members also receive the quarterly members-only publication, IFIF News. In addition, IFIF works with individual members and endeavours to meet their needs.

IFIF assists in the:

  • • Gathering and distribution of feed industry-related data on a    regular basisPublishing of useful reference data
    • Development of activities by regional associations
    • Organising regional and/or international conference
    • Publishing a regular newsletter
    • Generally aiding the Feed Industry
