Our Misson

In a rapidly changing world where living standards are continually rising and consumerism is driving economic progress, we must not overlook the importance of keeping our food from animal sources safe and in sufficient quantities to meet growing demand.

In the Developed World there is a desire from consumers, government agencies and industry alike to maintain and improving food safety - through the adoption and application of GMPs, GAPs and HACCP and HACCP-like principles - while all the time improving efficiency.

In the Developing World we want to ensure safe feed is provided to food producing animals at a price that will allow consumer to continue to increase their consumption of animal products. Not all developing countries are the same. Many are beginning to experience incomes rises that is leading to an increased demand for food products of animal origin.

IFIF is working to bring about a robust and sound structure within the world's animal feed production industries to meet the challenges of consumers everywhere

.We believe that even greater efficiencies can be made in the production of animal products, based on renewable raw material, the use of unwanted or surplus food ingredients and scientific data which allows us to maintain a steady decline in the amount of feedingstuffs it takes to product a given animal food product.
